04 ● Know the book before you lace up
01
Format
8 squads · 4-man rosters · 3 on court, 1 sub. Two pools of 4 play round-robin within their pool (3 games per squad). Top 2 from each pool advance to semifinals. Semi winners meet in the Final; semi losers play the 3rd-place game. 16 games total.
02
Game Length
10-minute running clock OR first team to 15 points — whichever hits first. Clock does not stop except for timeouts and serious injury.
03
Timeouts
Two 1-minute timeouts per team per game. Called by any player on the floor. Unused timeouts do not carry over.
04
Scoring
Inside the arc: 1 point. Outside the arc: 2 points. Free throw: 1 point. Game ends at 15 — second-rate tiebreaks don't exist here.
05
Fouls
Bonus kicks in on the 4th team foul. From the 4th onward, every defensive foul awards 1 free throw. Shooting fouls beyond the arc = 2 FTs.
06
Possession
Check-ball to start and after every dead ball. After a made basket, the defending team clears the ball behind the arc — no inbounds needed.
07
Standings
Pool wins ranked first. Ties broken by (1) head-to-head, (2) point differential, (3) points scored, (4) coin flip. Top 2 from each pool advance to semifinals — winners to Final, losers to Bronze.
08
Conduct
Two refs on court. Technical foul = 1 FT + possession. Flagrant or repeat unsportsmanlike = ejection, no refund, crew may be disqualified.
